I played a bit of TFC (since it came with Half Life, possibly the best game ever), but that was way back when I was still on dialup. Those rare occasions I found myself dragging my PC along to a LAN party, everyone was playing Counter Strike and Codename Eagle, or later Unreal Tournament / Battlefield 1942. I guess that was about a decade ago mind, only recently found myself enjoying TF2.

I haven't played TF or TFC.

I've played the ♥♥♥♥ out of some Final Fantasy games though.

I played TFC off and on from its release up until TF2's release. Loved it, although it did have glaring balance issues. Engine exploits and an influx of bots on every server eventually lead to its death. Tried FF, which only had one server running which was populated entirely by rude, obnoxious brats. Could've been a fun game, but it's lack of a respectable community killed it. Never tried the original TF. Had crappy dial-up during those days.

I remember trying out TFC (Excuse me on this) but I got bored as I was spammed with grenades and didn't understand the build menu that well (in my defence I was getting used to Tf2 and doing quite well. I kinda expected TFC to be on the same page in terms of mechanics). Albeit this was something like 3-4 years ago, so I've come quite far

Played far, far too much QWTF in high school, but hated TFC passionately. It just didn't feel as fun as the original Team Fortress to me.

Fortunately, TF2 is more of a successor to the original than TFC.
