I have not yet run into a problem needing this, but I thank you for the file. I may need it later. I too am running a FX8120 on a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 v1.1 board with the F6F BIOS and everything is good so far. Have not yet retried DE3 or Portal 2 with this setup.

If u have not ran into this yet, that is most likely because ur mobo has been fixed by an update, but them two game will show if ur mobo is fixed.

try verify game cache it might fix portal 2, if not i don't no

Running FX-6100 here. I can confirm this does work ( no virus etc ) I blue screened every time until i used this.

This works! THANK YOU. I wasn't getting BSOD's, just terribly game-breaking lag in-game and even menus.

This isn't ideal, as obviously I'd rather I get a permanent fix. Any idea when this would happen? And if it did happen, how would I know when and how to update?

Was setting up an FX 8120 machine for my son last night, Borderlands 2 would BSOD the machine every time without fail. Found this thread, updated the bios on the Gigabyte board he has, and no problem since. Thanks!
