Rivener Tarsus Quest

Hi all, i am trying to do the Rivener Tarsus quest. I got the god staff and trying to get Purta to give me her staff but i can't persuade her...i can't even kill her to get it.
So does my persuasion have to be at a high level or what? Anybody know?
And why can't you kill her to get it?
Any help would be much appreciated. I am level 14.

Not sure, mine was around 4-7 I think when I did that quest. Have you tried using a persuasion potion or pickpocketing her?

I picked , i picked , i pick pocketed Purta, Lyn the pin. Next time i playthrough...which by how long i'm taken doing this one...it will be like next year, lol....i will boost up persuasion before i do the quest.
Purta is an enemy now so i steer clear of her if i have to pass her.
But i completed the quest so thanks to all.

Meh, pickpocket her. If she turns hostile on you, just kill her and loot the staff. That's what i did:P

I didn't want to kill her so left her as an enemy. In time she may revert to friendly.

My persuasion was up to 95% and she still wouldn't let me have it.

Why do I know loads of women like that?

And you're right, you can never stay friends afterwards.

You can have 100% persuasion and still not get your way with most women:P C'est la vie, i guess:/

i got her to give it to me on the first try with only a 14% chance of persuasion..

You must have a huge knapsack.

I was going to say chopper but then it struck me that there are no axes in this game. Too cliche perhaps?
