Any Official/Unofficial patchs i should dl?
Just bought Renaissance and was wondering if i need to download any patches/mods to make it run better as i hear its quite buggy. Providing steam doesn't auto download them of-course.
Thanks in advance. |

I found a bunch of mods at:
http://forum.nordicgames.at/showthre...-Bugfix-Thread (I think these are the official forums?) The Steam version of Renaissance is 4.15, so you shouldn't need some of the hotfixes in that pack. "Monthar's Market Restock Fix" is helpful if you have trouble getting started because the market keeps running out of basic materials. There's also an economy rework mod and a mod to allow you to buy owned buildings. Just save the DB and Scripts directories before installing any mods so that you can uninstall easily. |

I'm wondering if there is a really good and stable MP mod or fix that really improves stuff and stability. I heard there was one that improves buildings (rename and purchasing) but no idea where it is. I know there's a few on the site below I'd love to know where those mods are.
Also, unofficial patch here: http://forum.runeforge-games.net/index.php?topic=27.0 Improves some OOS errors. |

Lemme know how it works. I was thinking of doing the same thing once I found the MegaMod Pack but was wondering if they're all compatible.

The megamod pack link is broken, it seems. I keep getting an "invalid attachment" error.
Edit: Managed to find it here http://forum.nordicgames.at/showthre...rly-Release%29 Also remember that if you get the beta patch, you may not want to use any of the mods without at very least editing them to match up with the way the beta patches updated some of the files. A lot of them are probably incompatible with the latest beta patch, and are more likely to mess up the game than fix it at this point. Seems the best thing to do is get the beta patch, and edit things to your liking if you find they're not working. Last edited by Metal_Izanagi: 02-29-2012 at 06:36 AM. |

Ok, here's what me and a friend tried today. I downloaded the 4.17b beta patch, got the REB 2.9 mod, and the purchase property mod. I combined the two mods (manually merging the filters files) and inserted them over the patch. Looks like it worked because...
YEAR ONE: In a town of corruption a man accused of a false crime, left behind by his country he now fights for seeks forgiveness for the crime he never committed by the people he never wronged...Twas an interesting game.
