Install TQ/TQIT on Steam + Fix (Win7)

I have bought Titan Quest Gold Edition on Steam and it will not work!^^

1.You won't have text ingame. You will only see "Tag not Found"

2.The next problem is, that you can't refresh the server list and you cant join games.
-Refresh the server list will cause a game crash with the error message "assertion failed"
-Join a Internet game will simple close the game
-and you may encounter "Failed to Find Steam"

Here is a WALKTHROUGH for installing Titan Quest Gold Edition on Steam.

1. Install and download Titan Quest and Titan Quest IT
2. Start and exit both games
3. Go to ../Username/My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest - Immortal Throne/Settings
Open the Options.txt
Search and controll Your installed language
For example: language = "English" or language = "German"
4. Go to the Titan Quest Immortal Throne install path
For example c:/Games/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Titan Quest Immortal Throne/Settings
Open the defaults.txt
Search and controll Your installed language
For example: language = "English" or language = "German"
5. Now You need two files Text_EN.arc or Text_DE.arc for both games.
I can give you only a link for the German files but i'm sure you can find the EN files with Google.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/57671369/TQIT_steam_text_de.zip (Thanks to www.Titanquest.4fansites.de User: Malgardian)
-You have to copy the Text_XX.arc file for Titan Quest to the folder
.../Steam/Steamapps/Common/Titan Quest/Resources
-You have to copy the Text_XX.arc file for Titan Quest Immortal Throne to the folder
.../Steam/Steamapps/Common/Titan Quest Immortal Throne/Resources

This will fix the "Tag not Found" error!

6. Now you have to go to the properties from Tqit.exe
Use the compatible mode for Windows XP SP3
And enable the field "Start as Administrator"

This will fix the refresh server list crash

7. Open the properties of your Steam.exe
And also enable the field "Start as Administrator"

This will fix the "Failed to Find Steam" bug

WARNING: Enable the Admin Mode for the Steam.exe may cause a Steam crash and then you need to install Steam again. So use at your own risk.

Note: This Works for me (Steam Titan Quest Gold Edition with Windows 7 64bit)

I hope this will help you!!!
