Duty Officers

How do you put a duty officer in the slot for your ship? I have one slot empty for a Tactical officer but I'm not able to add anyone and yet i have about 20 to choose from!!

they don't go into the same slot as BO's, here is a video that may help

Just keep leveling up to a new rank (Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander, etc).

ok...i'm at Lt. Commander now. I have a Tactical Refit ship so it has one slot left for a BO.

You can buy BOFFs from the Exchange and get different skills for them at the Sickbay on Earth Space Dock.

Dont forget to increase the ranks of your BOFFs.

all my BO's are still on their starting rank. how do u promote them>?

Hit "U", and highlight the character you wish to promote. On the bottom, click "Career Options". You'll see how it works. Remember that each BO position on your ship has a rank assigned to it. The skills that your BOs add will be limited to that rank.
