Hello,
I recently upgraded a few parts for my PC, (motherboard, CPU, and HDD) and now whenever I try to join a server, my game closes out to my desktop, with no warning or message of any kind. My BF2 is v1.5. I have tried nearly everything: Registry fixes, CD key fixes, tweaking audio settings, re-installing BF2, updating PunkBuster, updating Direct X, etc., with no result. If anyone could shed light on my situation, I would be very grateful. SPECS: Windows 7 64-bit GeForce GTS 250 8GB RAM Intel Quad-Core i5 2500K @ 3.30 GHz ASUS P8P67 Deluxe Motherboard |

Some users reported the newest nVidia drivers cause BF2 to CTD. Did you try with older drivers?

Had tried that as well, didn't work.
Yeah, I rolled back my drivers as well as downloading old drivers, both attempts didn't work. |

You were able to change the audio settings? Did you do it in game or out of game.
You are crashing after loading is done and you actually try to join, correct? This crash is almost always because of audio. More specifically, realtek audio. If you are getting this crash though, it also crashes the game when you try to modify the audio through the in game settings. Either way, try to go in to the BIOS and disable the onboard audio. This is probably your issue. |

@BladeZero i think the key wasnt registered on your windows registry when you installed the game, it happened to me a few times.
Open Regedit, go to: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Battlefield 2\ergc On the right side double click "Default" enter your Key with the code x9392 in front of it, so: Value Data: x9392Your-Key-here Also, if you dont have the folder "ergc" on your registry, create it. |
