controller working weird

hey, i am using a ps2 controller (with ps2 to pc adapter)
and the directional keys works fine and i can change the player and even shoot granades
but i can't normal fire :S i pressed all the keys and nothing

if the game full works wich the xbox controller i can use xboxce right?

also the resolution is not saved :S
