Game won't start

Hi
I bought R6V on Steam over the weekend. Downloaded and installed via Steam. However I can't start the game - I get a message box that says "This game is currently unavailable. Please try again at another time."
So what do I need to do? I'm running my PC on Windows 7.

For Rainbow Six Gold:

Not directly related - but for me it also won't start. Also on Windows 7.. which barely runs anything that's just a BIT dated these days.
Most of the time it simply does nothing, other times it changes to a black screen briefly, then back to the desktop with the 800x600 resolution, the game still shows at the bottom in the tray, but neither clicking it or closing it does anything - it has to be shut down with extreme force.
No other problem I found on these boards seem related, neither did any of the solutions work so far.

Does anyone else have a similar issue?
