Will Guild Wars 2 be on Steam? - Page 2

I'll be getting a collectors edition too. I love the box art and posters/books you get with Guildwars games.

Yeah, ArenaNet sure knows how to spoil their fans with goodies on the side (art- & lorebooks, posters, soundtracks etc).

GW2 can come to steam as much as it wants as long as I, as a game collector, can go to Ye Olde Shop and buy the Ye Olde Box containing the Ye Olde Disc and a Ye Not-So-Olde Activation-key. After all, some stuff are worth having more then just digitally

it would be stupid for this game not to come to steam. think of the publicity with this game have the front cover of the store page "brand new non subscription kick ♥♥♥ mmo" can't wait. till then swtor!

I want one of the big wall prints, not sure if they ship to Europe though and they are a bit pricey but damn they look good!

-I still don't think it will release on Steam why share the profits right now? When sales start dwindling (6mo-12mon later) then perhaps they'll set up a deal with Steam.

When Guild Wars first came out, Steam was only used for games such as Counter Strike, Half Life, and Day of Defeat (There were a few other games aswell, but nothing big).

Over a few years, more games were added such as Guild Wars.

I believe Guild Wars 2 will be on Steam, almost every game released on PC will make it to Steam.

I'm going to preorder this game, and I'd like to not get screwed over with something like "Sorry, can't redeem it on Steam, bought it too early".

It's still way too early to try and guess that, though.
The first two Mass Effect were on Steam as well, but I doubt the third one will ever end up on Steam.
The same could happen to Guild Wars 2.

I honestly doubt it will. Because back when Guild wars was originally brought to steam they did not have the rules they do now where they get a cut of all dlc and add and such. So for them to put it on steam this time they would have to give a cut of the sale of pets and fun extras and such to steam, which i can almost guarantee that they will not be willing to part with.
