Cant Start Game - "Error Code 51"
As the title suggests; Whenever I go to start Wolfenstein (either single or multiplayer), a command prompt window briefly opens and closes (seems to be a simple batch to navigate to the SP folder and start the Wolf2.exe), followed by a steam error "Wolfenstein failed to start (error code 51).
Steam's support database says error code 51 is typically caused by conflicting background applications. I've tried adding the game's directory to my anti-virus' (BitDefender) exception page and setting it to 'gaming mode', as well as disabling all non essential background applications/processes (including my headset and mouse drivers) to no luck. Anyone having a similar problem, or able to point me in the right direction? |

Possible video driver issue. Did you update your video drivers to the latest version?

Tried verifying several times now to no effect.
Still looking for a fix. If it helps, my steam directory is located on my 'B' drive; this caused an issue with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City at one point, but that was in-game, and had to do with Steams CD check bypass. |
