No, you were going to play it on an abacus but then they had a hardware survey and determined that Babbage's Difference Engine would be a better platform.

It means both lambda which is related to radiation and it seems also be hand holding a crowbar.

It's not just 'related to radiation', lambda is the symbol for half life. If you're going to call a game Half-Life, a lambda is an extremely obvious choice of logo.

People who have never been to science don't know about Half-Lives . Carbon-14's got you covered... if your dead... It's more than a game...
