Performance in OS X with Parallels?
I've seen a couple posts saying this game gives their graphics card a real workout. I wanted to give it a whirl on OS X, but didn't really want to bother installing Boot Camp just to try it out. Has anybody tried running Beat Hazard in Parallels? Or is there an OS X port in the works?

I would think running the game via Cider (the OS X Wine port) would introduce even more problems than running it in a virtual machine. Especially if it's an XNA. But if anybody out there has done it, I'd like to hear how it went.

Btw, the Steam version of the game uses C++ and DirectX. (No XNA framework)
Not sure if that will help though. Once Ultra is done. BH will work start to work on a Mac even if you don't get the DLC. Cool eh? |

Cider is not Wine. Cider is from Transgaming and utterly crap if you ask me. And there is Wine for Mac OS X 10.6 http://wiki.winehq.org/MacOSX Only tried Wine on Linux disros so I do not know how well it is working on Mac, but try to get the latest unstable version and try out. |
