Reason why this game exists?

I guess they thought "if people will buy Plants Versus Zombies, then why not Stalin Versus Martians?" They just forgot to actually make it a decent game, apparently.

You've got a point there. It's a good way for valve to research on the steam market. But then it's only one possibility out of many others. Maybe valve simply didn't test the games that they put on sale, and it's only after people started to complain that they've realized its abysmal?

The game got pulled because apparently Disney was going to sue the developer back to the Stone Age for ripping off Pixar character designs.
