huh? (based on what little you said) i'm guessing he traded the items away?
there's nothing you can do about it that's not getting scammed. that's not knowing the value. tf2 community is full of sharks. unfortunately little kids run into them. Last edited by freakn1ck: 03-08-2012 at 03:00 PM. |

...so he's sol?
not really a problem, written up as lesson learned. The guy was promising some kind of duplicate modification to his gear... Is it ok if i post the guys user name and server in the forms? I've been away a very long time. |

Some helpful questions to answer in your report are: How were you scammed? What items/gifts were involved in the trade? What is the user's Steam Community profile URL or SteamID that you traded with? What were the terms of the trade agreed upon? What is the approximate date and time of the trade? |

Frankly, just about any 10 year old that stick his head into trading is going to get boned. There probably ought to be some parental controls for that.

When/If you contact support, i wouldn't go mentioning that he "inherited" the account from someone else to be honest.
If you get someone on a bad day they could take the "steam accounts cannot be traded, gifted," etc. seriously and suspend the account. |

I don't think he will get hammered for using his father's account, who presumably has the custody of the kid anyway.

Steam support likely won't do anything. I've been scammed before and a month later the guy managed to scam yet another person and is still unpunished. You might just have to chalk it up as a loss and report himd on the forums so people avoid him. And there's always SteamRep.

After re-reading this, seems kinda bs. You were no doubt the person scammed but just don't want to admit that you were foolish.
