It looks like this is related to your sound/audio.
Your default sound is set to the "Altoparlanti (2- Corsair CA-HS1 USB Headset)". Is the headset plugged in? If not, try plugging it in. If it is, try unplugging. This might also be related to the same problem that SoundBlaster systems have had. Se if you can relate to the SB problem "enhanced sound". Read more about that here. If nothing helps. Try setting your default sound to the Realtek sound I believe you have on board. (Maybe I'm wrong, but there should be if this is your motherboard ) |

My Usb Headset is always plugged in; I tryed unplugging it so I use my on-board soundcard (realtek), but it crashes in the same way.

I think I have found the reason and a workaround to my crashing problem.
Looking for audio setting in Magicka I found few options, but checking game settings, the language setting remembers me of a problem I had with Magic the gathering Tactics where I can't complete registration if I used Italian as language instead of english. I'm Italian and so I set language to Italian also in Magicka (I read it was added with a patch some time ago). So I decided to try setting language to English and... Ta-Daaaaa it works without crashing. So, I can finally play The stars are left, even if I have to use english language (I hope this will be fixed in future patches). |

Glad you found a way, and great of you to report back.
I'm not sure but this might be something specific to your hardware. I can't recall ever coming across this "Italian problem" before. You could try an verify integrity for magicka, and then se if it's possible to use Italian. That's right click Magicka in steam game library, select properties and you'll find a button for verifying. |
