Reaxxion: Screen Resolution, Difficulty ...

Just bought Reaxxion and I think I like it.
But I have a few questions:

Screen resolution:
Can I adjust it?
It runs in 800x600. I didn't find the option to change it to a higher resolution.

Where can I change the difficulty?
I think I could play it forever without losing lives.
First I thought, I couldn't stop at all.
But 'escape' get's you to a menu to leave the game. And when hitting the play button again, you're asked if you want to resume the previous game.

The difficulty is selected when you start a new game. First click play on the lower right screen from the main menu. You'll be taken to another menu and above the play button, you should see the difficulty settings (easy, medium, and hard). Just click on the setting you want before clicking on play.

The only game options for graphics is high or low quality. There might be a way to do something in the config file..

So I can only change the difficulty by starting a new game.
After playing a little bit, I think the concept of this game might be in playing an easy game and exploring all of the 200 (?) levels and not to have a hard game and only succeeding in 20 levels.

I looked for a config file and found 2 possible files:
F:\Steam\steamapps\common\reaxxion\config.xml
It seems to be the config file only for the trial version of the game

F:\Steam\steamapps\common\reaxxion\cfg\gameconfig. xml.cr
This file is binary, so I can't change settings manually
