i love Trials 2 and have been waiting patiently for Trials 3. they told us we couldnt get a level editor, that it would be available in the sequel. i was a little annoyed by the two XBL Trials games but i thought to myself "its okay. Trials is a good series and it deserves as many fans as it can get."
well now Trials developer is being bought by Ubisoft. Ubisoft doesnt have the greatest track record with PC games. they have released some terrible ports in the past. but recently they have insisted on using DRM that requires a permanent internet connection. this does not look good for the future of Trials 3. i doubt we will ever get it. and if we do get it, itll probably be a shadey port with terrible DRM. source |

I love Trials2:SE and this just sucks. I agree with the fact that Ubisoft does not make very good games. Trials Evolution is probably the last one in the franchise then.

And here we go again. Another great concept of a game like Assassin's creed, ruined by idiotic restrictions.

RedLynx betrayed PC before Ubisoft bought them. So I dunno why do you care/fear.

It's a real shame when indie companies sell to people like Ubisoft/EA/Activision. You would think that with their backing the games would improve, but it's rarely the case :/
I think the only good games Ubisoft has been involved with in the past... 12 years? is Assassins creed. But even then the most recent one isn't as good. Last edited by NasherUK: 03-11-2012 at 06:11 AM. |
