Are there other beta/leftover items from the HL2 beta such as alyxgun and is still spawnable/usable in the retail hl2 ?

How 'bout the sniper rifle seen in HL2? I know it isn't usable in any point of the series but there is SMOD with added sniper rifle

The only other functional cut gun from HL2 that I know of is Annabelle, Father Grigori's rifle. It uses .357 ammo and has 2 shots, each shot has to be reloaded separately. It's fairly underpowered in Hard Mode and takes many shots just to kill a zombie (used by the player at least; in any NPC's hands it's very powerful). Apparently holding M1 and R will cause a bug where the gun fires rounds at a fully automatic rate.

I do know that Episode 1 has the Vortex Hopwire aka the Black Hole Grenade. It appears a grenade when held, but it looks like a Rollermine when thrown. It forms a massive black hole and sucks in anything around it, usually killing you and/or crashing the game. It's really buggy and unstable, but still fun to play around with regardless. It apparently was the predecessor to the Magnusson Device in Episode 2.

Hmm....I guess so.Seems like Annabelle and Alyxgun is the only 2 cut weapon in the game that is still *somewhat* functional.Sucks that Valve,unlike back in HL1 where they kept some beta stuff (human sergeant,mr.friendly and some other stuff),these nice and juicy behind-the-scenes content were entirely (ok,not entirely,alyxgun,annabelle,crabsynth,mortarsynth and cremator as cameo are still in the game) cut from HL2.

I really like the OICW. (I like the AR2 more, but it happened to have a great predecessor too.)

lol i already have missing information.I'm just asking for some leftovers in HL2,not wanting to play the whole beta.

Speaking of which,Missing info is too short.does it have more maps or just the 5 ?Are there anymore addons for missing info ?

The Annabelle is actually a very powerful weapon but it has to be a head shot to be effective. Anything other than that and you're just wasting ammo. The Annabelle along with the zoom makes a very good sniper rifle.

I think (but I'm not sure, it's hard to tell from the descriptions and I haven't tried them all yet) that there used to be more levels in v1.5 earlier, but they cut them from v1.6 in favour of a more "polished" experience, like the awesome current version of the Hyperborea level. Was wondering where the AirEx and so on were myself too.
