Red face game stuttering

I recently bought this game and it seems to stutter in races, it will work fine and play smooth then after like 40 seconds it will just freeze for a few seconds then continue......

My Laptop specs are..

pentium (r) dual core CPU T4200 @2.00Hz 2.00 GHz
4 gb ram
windows 7 64 bit operating system
Nvidia geforce 105m

I know my specs aint amazing, I did the canyourunit test and it passed with flying colours... and it has no problem playing my other games.. such as left for dead, skyrim, borderlands etc...

Try disabling Dynamic Shadows(if they're not already disabled). Also make sure you have updated your graphics drivers.

EDIT: Make sure your laptop isn't getting too hot. Heat can damage your hardware and reduce performance.

This seems to have started happening with me now as well, even though I'm currently on my second playthrough and I completed the game a couple of years ago with no problems. :/

I play fine for a while, then it just starts happening again. I have a PC with a massive heatsink on my GPU which has never given me any issues, so I don't think overheating is the problem.

Depends if it is freezing, or slowing down.

If it's slowing down only to pick up speed again, it's the game. Very annoying

Who can play Skyrim in that? I'm shocked.

Your processor is not the best, but you can play fine with the right settings, the problem you have there, it's the graphics card, to weak.

I had an issue every 3 races or so it feels like the brakes are suddenly being put on mid race then it recovers it can happen in a replay as well.

This started happening when I moved to win 7, it played perfect in vista.
