Love the historical setting of this game. WW2 was done to death in computer games, Now modern/postmodern combat has been done to death...

Battlefield and COD are almost at the point of lazer beams and hover humvees... YAWN!

I dont care what mod comes out but I do hope it is an acurate WW2 set MOD... would be cool to see more open maps with natural defences...

The Stalingrad setting is good, but it was really the only urban combat the Germans engaged in until the fall of Berlin.

Bigger maps would favour the standard issue bolt action rifles too.

But anyway anything of the era... WW2 games rock and they have so much more to explore.

Whoever said Monte Casino is a genius!!! but less allied games have been done alot...Wait a sec... unless it is Africa... HEY that would be awesome!!! the balle of Kasserine Pass (lots of tanks and infantry). I can be Spike Milligan then... Great!

The law of mods is:

Any time a modder mentions W40K or Halo in a mod name, every single mod in relation to the game fails to even be released and the game dies a quick and sudden death.

You'd have better luck petitioning Games Workshop to work with Tripwire Interactive than getting a mod out.

I AGREE... I mean there is nothing wrong with WH40k or HALO... but if you love those games so much go play them!!! This game is a WW2 game. Did you not notice?

don't suppose any of these mods are going to support multiple monitors - like throwing a more detailed map over to my second monitor? Or extending information onto my iPad (which is my second monitor) to clear up the screen a bit?

Interesting idea. Might want to direct that wish to any of the mods by visiting their forums

Unfortunately "Between the States" isn't active anymore.
It says so on page 4 of the thread you get to when you click on its name.

Teeeechnically STALKER has full RPG elements. You have stats (resistances, endurance, health and so on) that you can affect based on your armor and artifact choices and you can be any kind of Stalker you want to be. There's no XP or levelling up or anything, though.

i am kinda nervous about this, i am really bad with computers, and i have wanted to install mods for other games i have, but i always download the wrong thing or put some folders in the wrong place or something, i cant even seem to find the download link for the mods on the DB page for some Crysis mods i want.

basically im wondering if these will be available for download through steam or will we have to goto 3rd party websites. if we have to go and download them on our own and move folders around im screwed,
