Where are the Phantasy Star series?

Not the recent ones. The classics from I to IV released for the Master System/Game Gear and Genesis/Mega Drive.

I'd love to see them on Steam.

I agree,especially when there are already dozens of Mega Drive games on steam so there is no excuse for them not being available as well.

Actually, they have an excuse: PS1 was for Master System.

Oh wait! They do not have an excuse! They made a Phantasy Star package for the PlayStation. Just bring it to the PC, please...

i really wish those PS1-4 "remakes" for PS2 would get ported to the PC/consoles with new translations (not re-use the (bad) USA translations for the original games).

better yet, they should just totally remake PS1-4 for PC and current/next-gen consoles.

And even if being on the Master system was a valid excuse for not having it on steam that still wouldn´t explain why 2,3 and 4 aren´t!

Sadly those remakes are only for the first two games and I think sega gave up on an english localisation long ago.

This topic is not about PSO though, it's about the classic single player Phantasy Star games (the Master System Phantasy Star, and the Genesis/Mega Drive Phantasy Star 2, 3 and 4).

They're on Steam now. But typically, the new batch (and only the new batch) is restricted in Japan. Love how we're allowed to by collections 1 through 4, but 5 - the only one I'd even want to buy - is suddenly restricted. Good job SEGA/Valve!

ah, I had thought they remade all 4. I see now that there was 2 seperate releases, for 1-2.

but, yeah, I wish they would just remake 1-4 (again), and release them in English. SquareEnix remakes their FFs so much, why cant SEGA do the same with PS!?
