Which NBA 2k Should I Get?

Does it really matter which one I get? Is 2k11 good? Or should I just get 2k12?

2k12 is probably better than 2k11, but there is a bug on 2K12's Association mode at least which makes 1st draft picks have no value on trades, so you could then have an invincible team.. but I guess you can avoid those :/

i own all 2k games as they come out.12 is the best to get

nba 2k12 is terrible, that being said, I've never played 2k11 on PC. But 2k11 is the better game by far. On Xbox 360, it had the better controls, online, etc...

nba 2k12, better graphics... im from argentina and i just wait like less than 1 minute for an online match, i played both on pc, and 2k12 is faaaaar better

Post Patch - 2K12 is better.

Pre Patch - 2K11 is better.

2k11 is better online.
2k12 is better not online.

Even with the patch for 2k12 online it still sucks you still cant invite you're friends into a lobby you can't talk to your team you really cant do anything but play 1v1 or team up game which is very laggy (Most of the time, I have played games that did not lag) Unlike 2k11 you cannot bring you're created player into a pick up game with other online players. If you're looking for a good online experience go with 2k11 but if you don't care about that and like improved graphics and improved physics but suckier passing go with 2k12. My player mode for 2k12 is better than 2k11 but still you cant even mess with you're own created player online so unless you like talking in interviews to reporters at the end of each game then I really cant tell which year had a better mode. Player reaction time in 2k12 is quite bad. They have improved defense and animations and the players actually look like the real players in 2k12 but sticking to you're man on defense can be quite annoying. 2k12 is alot shinier than 2k11 in regards to player abilities the fluidity of their shots and looks like real movement you would see in an NBA game. Along with a more cinematic approach showing you're teammates getting into the game more "celebrating on the bench" the setup is different it's more TV like with ad's popping up in the corner for the next upcoming CPU game It's more interactive. 2k11 is more of a complete game to me and 2k12 is more of a rushed game. Rushed being the multiplayer or online portion of the game. It feels like they did not have enough time to finish multiplayer.
