Mirror's Edge won't boot? - Page 2

Got it working! I got a message back from Steam's tech support, telling me to do this:

Quote:

Exit Steam entirely.

Browse to your Mirror's Edge installation folder (Usually C:\Program files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\mirrors edge\)

Run the following installers:

...\Steamapps\Common\mirrors edge\Redistributable\vcredist_x86.exe

...\Steamapps\Common\mirrors edge\DirectX\DXSetup.exe

...\Steamapps\Common\mirrors edge\PhysX\PhysX_SystemSoftware.exe

Reboot your computer and test the issue again

That did the trick.

Did you try verifying game cache while running as administrator? The tech guy suggested that but it didn't do any good for me.

I get the same thing - double click to launch, a spinner, then it dies. Tried the solution in the above post but no joy. i5/8gB/geForce 560ti.
