Crazy sleigh ride achievements??

did you go 20 laps around it without touching anything? maybe you accidentally hit something.. I've got that achievement, so it should work I guess

no, I don't think so.. I didn't follow it, and actually I didn't count if it's exactly 20 or not - the achievement just eventually popped up - so maybe you need more than 20..

and are you sure you're doing it clockwise? for example, achievement picture shows counter-clockwise, so you should do the opposite..

i tried 5 games to spin around but.. it all dont work and i didnt even knock onto something, if i knock onto something that whole round is dead? or if i knock onto something i can start doing 20 laps again?

The other Xmas achievements are still unlocking so I'm a bit perplexed that I can't seem to unlock this one. This screenshot confirms I'm in the right place (I hope):

I can go round and round that house until I'm dizzy but the achievement won't unlock. The only thing I'm making contact with are power-up barrels. These don't count as 'ramming into things', do they? They are pretty hard to avoid.

Anyone gotten this cheevo recently? Anything you can add to what has already been said in this thread?

Yeah, it's the house on the right in your screenshot. You have to go around it however many times (I forget) and not hit anything "solid". Collecting the power-ups is fine.

It could be that it only worked back around Xmas. I don't know. If you went around the required number of times without hitting anything and didn't get the achievement, maybe it was some temporary glitch (a problem communicating with Steam or something). If you've done it several times over the course of several days and still didn't get the achievement, then I'd have to guess that it was only available around Xmas. If so, maybe it will be back next Xmas.

Thanks, JamesJ. If no one steps forward to say they unlocked it recently I'll assume you're right about it being a Xmas-y thing, although it's odd that the other Xmas cheevos (such as Santa's Hideaway) are still present and unlocking.

Yeah, it is strange that other Xmas ones would work, but not that one. About the only other thing I can think of is that maybe they were all just recently disabled. I don't know if the game has been updated recently.

FWIW, the "sticky" update log thread doesn't mention removing them, but I didn't see anything about adding them either, so I don't know that that proves anything.

It's not broken! I unlocked it just ten minutes ago. I doubt it makes any difference but, in case anyone else is having trouble unlocking this achievement, I was using The Fuzz (from the DLC) on Medium mode and, unlike on previous attempts, I threw caution to the wind and just went round and round without taking my finger off the throttle. Maybe the key to success is not slowing at all (or at least, not much).

Just need 500 kills on the Winter Wasteland track and I've done all the Winter achievements, albeit several months too late.
