Creation Kit help? NPC face changes color?

I'm extremely derp when it comes to using the Creation Kit, fyi.

So I've been trying to play around with one of my favorite NPCs and whenever I touch ANYTHING in the creation kit- her face turns tan.

Even when I ONLY change her eyes it does this!

I've tried changing her skin color- changing and removing any face tints- removing ALL of my character texture mods. Nothing.
It only seems to change when I save any edits on her and apply it in the game.

Thanks if anyone can give some help or any ideas why it's doing this. :U

A well known problem I'm afraid, setting the skin tone to custom and tweaking the whole body darker worked for me with Lydia but she looks more like a lighter toned Redguard now.

The 'fix' via the console does work, have the NPC in front of you, turn console on and mouse click on the NPC then type: setnpcweight 0

No idea why but this does work, the head goes back to what you saw in the CK? trouble is it is not permanent, you will have to keep doing it every time you see it change back to darker. BTW This will NOT work with the 'custom' skin thing I use as the face goes to a lighter version which just reverses the original problem. Ho Hum

Find the character on the "actor" tab of the objects window and hit Ctrl+F4. Click OK and you are good to go.
