Queen Sludge is correct, I've been having the same issues with this game on Steam as well. I've gone to EA's site and downloaded all the patches, none give, they just search for the game on the entire C: Drive and come up with an error asking you to reinstall the game. Unfortunately from what I've found Steam has done no patching to this game, its unfortunate b/c I would really like to play this game without everything locking up or having my frame-rate drop like crazy at random times. This game really needs its patches.

Wrong. The game is fully patched.

The frame drops have not been random on my system, they are perfectly predictable. Usually 180 degree curves.

Frames dropping from 60fps, to 10fps at very precise spots on the map. It is like crossing a border, and having to load a new map in the middle of a race.

I'm having similar problems with Vista's Photo Gallery. slide show effects work fine as a screen saver, but when running those effects from the photo gallery the slide show effects stutter terribly.

Thats what i thought they were for anyway.

Dont mean to be kurt about this, but i have bought a game i cant play and you have a possible solution.

Just a little frustrated.
