Resident Evil 1 - Uncut PC Version PLEASE

Dearest Steam Overlord,

I was on a blog talking about this game and came across the fact that there's an unedited PC version floating around on eBay for $50.

Please get Capcom to list it on Steam. I can't blow $50 on an old game whose price is set based on collectors' OCD, but I'm dying to play it in bloody HD. Thanks.

Your Loyal Customer/Zombie,
Ryan

U wanna play RE1 in HD? So U just wanna see some B.I.G. pixels, eh?
Cuz there's nothing else a PC version of RE1's gonna give ya. It's not like they ported that awesome Gamecube remake to PC.

No, it has more content. Apparently it's the biggest version. The Gamecube version can already be played on Dolphin emulator. Only problem is they changed the dialogue and music in those remakes. Not a fan.

"That was too close. You were almost a Jill sandwich."

If you have a decent CPU/GPU combo this is definitely worth looking at. Especially when setting the texture size at 4x it will look beautiful even at high resolutions. I really wish they make games like this, if you look at what was possible in 2002 imagine what is possible now with a Resident Evil 2 remake.

I really do not get it why Capcom wastes their resources with risky projects like ORC that could ruin the genre's reputation, while a PC port of RE Remake would easily sell a hundred thousand copies or two. All the resources are already there, all it needs is proper porting. Not to mention a multi-platform RE2 remake would easily sell two million copies, why doesn't Capcom want our money?
