Any good Dota 2 guides?

Anyone know any informative and thorough guides to Dota 2?
I'm trying to learn the tactics and strategies of the gameplay, and at the moment its intimidating going online, because someone is always calling me useless etc.

So I've only been playing against bots mostly, which is a whole lot of fun, but I'm looking for a really complete and thorough online guide, and I haven't found a really good one.

I know the basics of the game, I played a little of WC3 DOTA, but still need to learn a lot. Hope someone can help .

playdota.com

Go to the Guides section. Most of the mechanics guides that are recent will work fine to learn the basics and so forth. Hero guides can be somewhat helpful. Just don't touch guides with low ratings.

who cares if someone is mad at you over an internet game. Better not start playing bots, gives you wrong ideas.

In general:

www.dota2wiki.com
www.dotafire.com

For Dota Fire > Builds & Guides > Top Guides

There are 3 guides among the top 5 that are not about specific heroes, but more about general things. Reading them could be a good start. Otherwise I would suggest you watch some Pro-players streams (www.joindota.com) or check out Purge's youtube channel (www.youtube.com/user/PurgeGamers), who explains a lot.

I would suggest you to simply go play against real enemies, not bots. Bots are damn smart and they hunt too early in groups. As a beginner you will start in noob games and you can have a better progress. About the flaming in dota, being called useless and so on. That doesn't change. No matter how good you are, there will always be a game when you make a wrong decision and you are being called useless, insulted in russian or whatever. Welcome to the outstanding community!

Newbie players are not dropped into "noob" games.
