dod:s problem/movement problems/help
i havnt played dod:s in a while but i started feeling the urge again. my computer is alot better then it used to be but for some reason im having an issue with player movement. when holding down w/forward i move for a few steps and then it just stops and i have to take my finger off and push down again only to have it stop after five more steps or so. the graphics seem fine and ive tried 3 different keyboards. i switched the controls to my gamepad and i can move around without any stops but im not going to play on a gamepad for obvious reasons. has anyone else had this issue or know of any way i can resolve it? i feel like ive tried everything. it does the same thing in half life and counterstrike 1.6 so im having a hard time thinking its a fps issue. helllpppp

Sounds like a broken keyboard. What happens if you open notepad and hold down w?

If you have a spare laying around try that, if its usb try a different port, and you aren't using any other keys besides w while running forward are you? Some keyboards have odd combo press limits.

He says that he's tried 3 different keyboards guys.
The port sounds like the most likely cause to me. If your using USB switch to another as suggested above. If your using PS2 try a USB keyboard. Another thing to try is changing the keyboard settings to use a diiferent key to go forward. |

Try putting -autoconfig into your dods launch options.

Did you look into the guys sticky key suggestion?
controlpanel->accessibility->keyboard all that ♥♥♥♥ should be unchecked. |
