A possible solution if ZB2 fails to launch
Hello everyone,
I bought ZB2 recently, and was having a problem I've seen a few people here post about -- after clicking the play button in Steam, the monitor would flicker but the game would not launch, and a "ZenBound2" process would appear in my task manager. After some experimentation, I found a solution. AVG, the anti-virus software I use, identifies ZB2 as a threat. It is most likely NOT a threat, and AVG is getting a false positive from some online feature (usage statistics reporting, scoreboard data, etc.). So I added the ZB2 folder as an exception so AVG wouldn't worry about it (for AVG, this is: AVG Control Panel -> Resident Shield -> Manage Exceptions button, where I added "c:/programs/steam/steamapps/common/zen bound 2") and Zen Bound 2 now runs like a charm! If anyone else is having this problem, this may help! |

I stopped using AVG awhile ago and switched to Microsoft Security Essentials (it's also Free) It uses less resources than AVG and I haven't had any conflicts like this.

I am not running ZB2 from Steam (I guess I could, but why?) and the game will not start. I get a UAC warning, then I click YES and nothing happens. I have added the game folder to the exception list in AVG, but that didn't help. XP compatibility mode with SP2 or SP3, run as admin etc. - nothing works. All other games work.
