Alright, This is an ongoing problem that has been happening to specific games that I have run. Anno 2070, Battlefield 3, and All of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series.
What happens is that After some time of gameplay the screen freezes and almost everything on the screen is outlined in Red, then Blue, then Green. After this happens the game crashes to desktop and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del to get out of the game. Another form of when it crashes is that the screen turns grey and my monitor says it is going to sleep or that it is running but has no connection to the computer. I have been searching around for what the problem is and all that has come up is 2 things, Not enough power to the computer, and that it is over-heating. Please help |

Sounds like your video card is over heating. When was the last time you clean it.

Anno 2070 and Battlefield 3 use more of the GPU they heat it up more and use up more power.
It could be overheating. It could be short on power. Case could be too warm for it. Install CPUID Monitor it will record your highest temp for CPU and GPU and fan speeds. Post your full specs including PSU make and power rating. Last edited by Kaboom: 04-01-2012 at 01:14 AM. |
