Can I change the way my person looks in portal? This person did.
Like the thread says is there a way to change how the person looks?
Not that i have anything against Chell im just curious how you would do it. Like in portal project beta mod. Or like in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nLauqy8vBLQ Also how do people spawn other people in maps? Like in Prelude mod and were did they get that turret at 3:13? It's not done in portal, it's likely done with either gmod or having spawned Kleiner as an npc using console commands.

You would have to completely replace the files, but what would be the point? The only time you see yourself is in portals, this isn't a 3rd person perspective game. The animations would be off, limited as they are anyway, though because of how Source does 'eye level' in their camera view it would still look essentially the same in 1st person.

Does anyone know where those files would be?
I am aware that it would probably look the same but i have found making mods very intriguing and i might want to make my own someday. I have already downloaded hammer and started playing around with my own custom maps and also how do you use npc commands? Thanks Last edited by turret king: 04-02-2012 at 05:26 PM. |

There are a wide variety of tutorials out there, and also you probably want to ask down in the modding section below. The process is way more complicated than most folks like to get into, but if you try you might be able to develop strong skills.
