Ubercharging an Enemy Spy

Is there a worse feeling in all of TF2 after you've realized your mistake?

Luckily it doesn't happen often since I'm pretty careful, but it has happened and I felt utterly ashamed.

Dying to a Fan O War Scout is up there with it, but not by much.

I got critforcered after panic Kritzing a 'Soldier'. Never happen otherwise, but it still ashamed me.

Me: Oh cool, I have 369 assists now.


(honestly, I feel more stupid when I realize I ubered a friendly bot. At least human spies fool me with believable acting.)

It's pretty bad in my opinion. Unless it's a panic uber you throw on the first player you see... you should communicate with your team for ubers, at least make sure they are reloaded and stuff, ready to fight.

Getting kill assists on your teammates happens way more. I don't feel all that bad when it happens. Not much time to spycheck when you're busy buffing 239 players at the same time. Plus it says that your pyros aren't doing their job either. If there's a lot of friendlys around, pyros should always burn a bit into that pack. Just to make sure.

(This thread reminds me of a medic who ubered me as a spy recently. Walked him all throught our team, then he got killed. I can understand ubering a spy, but didn't he think it was weird that a pyro was just walking through everyone and not shooting anything?)

It certainly would be for me, but I'm pretty good about it.

I like when I'm a spy and they uber me, ending up with me dropping disguise and on rare occasion trickstabbing the medic.

Since the Megaheal Spychecks for me, I just switch immediately to a teammate and have them kill the Spy along with everyone else around.

the worst feeling i ever had...ubercharged an enemy spy and he backstabbed a teammate a second later, so i got an assist(and a point!) on my own teammate

it will never happen again though(it happened over a year ago and i remember it to this day)

disguised as a Soldier

got the enemy Medic to übercharge me (on a 6vs6 match)

was pretty epic, thus, ended up backstabbing the other Soldier after it ended.

I got uber as a Spy on the last cap of dustbowl with 15 seconds remaining. YER'd a Soldier and the Medic healing him didn't notice. Got about halfway across the bridge when he popped it. I turned to face him, glowing starkly red in contrast to his blue and typed, "Gentlemen.", to which he responded to with confusion for about three seconds (he just stood there, being berated by his team for his idiocy, I imagine), then promptly ragequit.

I'd never had so much team love over the mic as a Spy before. It was great.
