They lock threads that aren't constructive, spam (copying existing threads), or are abusive/disruptive (titles in all caps).

The original thread was this one. It was renamed unfairly (if it was renamed to the same title but without the all caps, that would have been fine - but it wasn't), so the second was created. The third (first link) was created in protest against the censorship of the first two. None of this breaks forum rules, as the threads weren't inappropriate for a forum about this game. It's not unreasonable to warn people off a game with significant issues. All you need to do is look at the official ubisoft forums for From Dust. Nothing but problems.

Actually, they do.

Do not:

• Post spam (i.e. +1, 10char, rickrolls) or Re-post Closed, Modified, Deleted Content

Your first thread was modified. Your second thread was a repost of modified content. Your third thread was complaining about your reposted modified content being removed.

Repost of content that was unnecessarily modified. I concede that the second thread did break that rule, but it was only posted in response to the actions of a mod who wasn't following the rules. The only thing they could have /possibly/ called it on was the allcaps, but lowercaseing it would have been the appropriate solution.

Notice: Administrators/Moderators reserve the right to change/edit/delete any content at any time if they feel it is inappropriate.

They obviously felt the title was inappropriate. If you feel something has been unjustly modified, PM moderators to ask about it. Reposting it will just get it locked.

The mod who did the original edit didn't leave a comment or PM me, so I have no way of knowing who it was. I did PM another one, but the best I got was "sorry, can't help, contact Steam support". I appreciate that he replied, but we all know Steam support are understaffed and the response I'll likely get (as it is for everything) will be a form letter.

Read the thread. Originally there was a link. After people started complaining about the numerous problems with the game and it's drm, the link was removed. A few weeks ago, someone complained to valve, and the link was put back up.

I wanted to buy this game, it looks like the kinda thing I'd enjoy. But then I found out about the BS that Ubisoft pulled, treating its own customers like petty criminals. It'd feel wrong for me to support this game, even if it's at $1.
