NO steam cloud?

This game is begging for steam cloud. Why does it not have it?

If you look at the last thread about Steam Cloud (which is still on the first page), the game's developer Subsoap commented that Faerie Solitaire Remastered (which everyone will be upgraded to when it comes out) will likely have cloud support.

And what about the option to play the game in fullscreen (and by that, I mean in my computer's resolution to eliminate the black bars that appear when I currently try to play it in fullscreen). Will it have that as well?

The developer would need to comment on that. I wouldn't expect it to be a priority though, it's a hand-drawn 2D game and the art assets can't simply be automatically scaled to match a dozen different aspect ratios like a 3D game could. You could create empty space depending on the ratio selected, but it's a lot of development work for little to no return. At most, I would guess the aspect ratio of the remastered version and sequel may be 16x9 to match modern standards. Or it may not be.

I play in full screen on my 16x9 monitor and I think it looks just fine. Your monitor or video card may have an option to stretch/distort the image to fill the screen if the black bars offend you, though.

The new version plays beautifully at 1080p+. There are many things we need to do before we can release it on Steam. It will be done eventually. I may be remembering incorrectly but cloud support wasn't available when we released Faerie Solitaire here? The FS source is considered retired - everything we are doing now is completely rewritten from scratch and going back to old source would take a lot of momentum out of what we are working on now - it's possible we can still add it but we are a very small team and have to keep focused on what's most important. Future versions we will try to include it and other relevant features.
