Can I trade for games that are locked on my region?

Say, I am looking for Gotham City Impostors at the moment, which is region blocked for some reason in Turkey. If I were to trade for it with some guy who has the game, will I be able to play it?

On Steam? I can't buy GCI because it's not even available for purchase.

The game will play through Steam fine in this case (GCI) although I'd be more worried about the GFWL activation as it isn't available where you live.

Is there anything I can do? Looks like I can buy it from origin, they'd at least put a warning or something for this kind if a situation.

I'm unsure, the service where you have the fame from shouldn't matter, it's the step of getting it on GFWL.

That I can't help you with, As the LIVE service was made avaialavale a year after launch here

Perhaps it is regionally blocked for a reason. Could be because GFWL is blocked in your country and steam is protecting you by not allowing you to buy it. You could trade it but do so at your own risk.

That seems to be the case with GFWL games. GFWL isn't available in my country, so games that use it are region restricted on Steam. What I find weird, though, is that most of them are available at other digital distributors, and even at retail stores.

It depends. Some games are not only region restricted, but also region blocked, meaning that you won't be able to play them in a certain region.

Whom can I consult for a confirmation? Will Steam do it?
