Game doesn't start!

Had the same problem. Verifying the game cache of both(!), CoH and CoH:OF, did the trick.

Game has worked flawless for me forever, however just today after reinstalling I get this issue. Pretty annoying. Will try to verify and if that doesn't work I'll hate steam even more than usual.

Edit 1: Steam seems be stuck at 100% .. Useless bloatware.

uhm, i would never download a file from a guy saying here, download from my ftp server......... you will have to watchout downloading steam related files, this way is the most common way for people to get "hacked".

*********not that im saying omfg ur hacked, and not that im saying, that guy is trying to "hack " u, but still, better watchout with it ...

@derk: You are right. But i hope, you can tell us a better way to publish this file for ppl, who have problems with the game to start? You can scan it with anti-virus programs, with anti-maleware software, and so on...
Sometimes, the build-in Heuristic would be able to find dangerous parts in the Software.

jep true, but if you know what file gives the problem, you could delete the whole file too, and let steam take care of it after verify.

but hey, im still paranoid pre 2k, internet is evil, and stuff like that :3

The solution is from the internet search, no virus, no trojan says Avira Antivir.
