Quick Armor-Related Question!

Is there any way to make it so that you can wear armor without it actually showing? It's not that big of a deal, I just like some of the hair style options so much, and I would like to not have a helmet covering it.

this is exactly what the "Familiar wig and clothes" are for. You can buy them from the Old Clothier (the guy who guards the dungeon before Skeletron is defeated)
If you're not yet up to Defeating Skeletron you could always go on a multiplayer server and trade for a wig

Equip whatever ya want in the 'Social/Vanity' Slots to the left of your Armor Slots to make your Character have that appearance regardless of what Armor they're actually wearing. Note: Armor in the Social/Vanity Slots don't give their Bonuses, & some items are Vanity Only & not Armor.

Example: My 2nd Alt, Ryn, is currently as of the time of this Post wearing the full Meteor Armor Set, but has Sunglasses in her Helm Social/Vanity Slot, re-exposing her Hair & hiding the Meteor Helm so she looks uber cool! ^_^ She's gonna rock the Sunglasses - Meteor Armor - Meteor Greaves Vanity Combo forever! That's how i've built her Terraria Identity!
