Prevent downloading at certain times

Like perhaps many Steam users, I am with an ISP that will cap my internet speeds if I download a certain amount between certain times of the day. Many downloaders such as torrent programs and the like have options where you can tell them not to download between set times, is there any chance of Steam getting a similar feature? I leave my PC on most of the day, but its annoying to go out for an hour, only to come back and discover that someone's released a 3Gb game patch and then my download speed is dropped to 25% for the next 5 hours for downloading too much at a 'peak' time.
