Censored in Germany ?

Hello,

I currently live in germany and I wanted to know if Sniper Elite V2 will be censored in any way for the german market (gore, blood etc.) ?

Hi!

I couldn't find anything official but according to http://www.spieleradar.de/news/snipe...utschland.html there is a strong likelihood that at least #azi symbols and figures will be altered. Also, as a German I wouldn't be surprised if blood and gore would be cut as well. Better wait for the official rating before you pre-order!

Wow. How would they censor the gorey kill-cam? That thing shows your bullet snapping bones, spraying blood and ripping organs.
Would they just remove the kill-cam entirely? That's the best part!

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they did. Violence in games in Germany is a big no-no! Still the government is one of the world's biggest weapons exporters. Hmm... Think of it what want

if i look back to the classic sniper elite they would go the same way i think ... no blood, no symbols, no killcam and (of course) no "kill hitler" mission ...

in games it always means usa = less nipples more gore, germany = less gore more nipples

I'm seeing a lot of "say bye to kill Hitler mission", you'd think that killing him wouldn't really be a frowned upon thing in a game, weird stuff.

Hi guys. Unfortunately, because of the heavy restrictions on in-game violence the version of Sniper Elite V2 for the German market will not have the x-ray component of the Kill Cam. But the rest of the game will be the same.

The BPJM (the company that checks every game, movie etc for violent and erotic content) exists to ensure our children can't get their hands on violent and ... impropable content.

Very similar rules apply to Australia in regards of violent content in video games. (e.g. Mortal Kombat 9) What do they want to cover up? Their history of irish criminals? o0
