Hey, ploughing is for when removing grass For example, if you just cultivate over grass, it will regrow eventually, ploughing totally stops growth so you can plant crops instead

Not really...

The plough in reality is used before a cultivator to turn over the upper layer of soil and bring fresh nutrients to the surface. The field is then left to dry.

The cultivator is then used to aerate the soil and prepare the field for seeding by creating a proper seedbed and bury old crop residue, control weeds and mix the soil to make sure the crop will have the proper water and nutrients for growing.

The game does not take any of that into account so a cultivator is the only needed tool.
Unless you are trying to get rid of a grass field then the plough will stop it from regrowing.

you can expand or join fields with a plough.
at the start of a game i use the plough to join the two mid-sized fields directly opposite the mill.
then your workers treat it as one big field, requiring less attention from me to keep em' going

I can't believe I've been playing this game for over a year now and never thought of that. Thanks for the tip.
