TAW imposters on the loose

We have some new imposters going around, claming to be TAW.net Members, missbehaving, spamming the Voice with music, trolling, selling Stuff etc.

They refer to our Clan homepage for recruitment. Just to point it out again, those guys have nothing to do with us - The Art of Warfare.
So If you see any "TAW| Member" posting recruitment messages on another server besides our own official ones, you can be sure it's an imposter since it is against our policy.

They have a clantag very Similar to our [TAW.net] , they use [TAW·net], so the point is in the middle.

If you want to have to Steam ID for banlist you can PM me.

What was it ice? One or two of them on Cha0s today? Forget how long they got banned/commander banned, commie bob did it. Ice is the man though, insanely helpful in tracking these guys down!

If they are using a clan tag, then doesn't that mean they are in a steam group together?

In that case we should be keeping track of everyone in that group. The whole lot of them seem to be looking for trouble.

Don't like what? And leave what?

If we don't like these guys and they are ♥♥♥♥♥, that's their issue. Most of the guys in this thread run some of the largest ND servers, so this is a public announcement saying to report these guys so they can get banned.

Why leave a server when you can just ban the guy lol, kinda takes away the point of being a mod on a server doesn't it

Please understand that people who are found doing this can be punished for 2 things:
1. Impersonation (punishment: temp ban)
2. Chat Spamming/Advertising (punishment: silence or kick)


Personally, looking for impersonators of a non-Cha0s affiliates on the Cha0s server isn't all that high of a priority for me. Unless he is causing trouble (i.e. advertising) I'd probably let him slip by, probably report him to someone from TAW when I get the chance.
Because, lets be honest, Cha0s and TAW are independent from each other. If a TAW impersonator is on the Cha0s server it isn't that big of a deal since its not like he's impersonating someone with high authority or influence. If it were a D^2 impersonator, that would be a different story.

That said, people should also understand that many of the major servers share banlists. So before you do anything stupid, remember that by getting banned in one server, you run the risk of getting banned from others

and Bluetear, interesting that you used especially that phrase, because one of those guys used it all the time
