Crashing issues

Good Morning,

Every time I attempt to play The Sims 3, it runs for a few minutes just fine after loading into my sim's home... Then it crashes to desktop with a message of "The Sims 3 has stopped working."

I have tried every step listed here:

I've uninstalled, reinstalled .. shut down every background program, deleted all previous saved games, disabled all expansions and add-ons... this error even occurs when just playing the BASE game...

The Sims 3 through steam is the only game I have these issues with...

My daughter plays The Sims 3 on her laptop which is a RETAIL version, and never has this issue...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...
