My city is RIO PRETO (Black River). My focus is to build fast and hard tracks with lots of targets and a design that rewards boost chain. I don't like acrobatics tracks very much, so I won't be doing them in my city! =P

I got question for you track makers, when using advance track editor mode, do you get to set splitpoints\checkpoints and spline points ( give AI a path to follow ), like we do in Flatout 1 and 2 custom tracks?

If there no splitpoints or splines, I take it you have to use objects to force players\AI to go where you want them to go on your track?


Got any videos of these custom tracks?

you cant set checkpoints or AI paths. the track editor is still good though and simple to use.

today i repositioned some of the collectible boosts due to a small issue with latency when playing online. the boosts were too close to the targets and because of latency, you would end up crashing into the target before you could use the boost :P

added more boosts to balance out tracks a bit more when playing online.. eg - a road would have 1 boost on it, whereas it now has 2 or more, spread apart from each other so more boosts will be left behind to help other players catch up to the player who is in the lead
