Turtle Beach DSS 2?

Is it really worth it? I have the Turtle Beach X12's. Will adding the DSS 2 to it be worth the money?

80$ seems a lot just for adding simulated surround sound. I'd invest in either a good quality pair of headphones with a large sound stage or buy a real surround sound headset

I'll probably get a surround sound headset in a few months then.
