Why?

Why are there no save game during the battle? I'm asking because I fought hard and close to victory for an hour then STEAM closed my game and ask for option on direct card. I was angry because it cost me a lot of time.

The game crashed during a battle, then when restarting the game it asks you if you want to use DX11 or DX9. This has happened to me a few times in FOTS, it's really annoying and is some kind of bug that needs fixing.
