So I've saw a fun map in tf2 avaliable for download and it consist of extracting the map and a cfg folder into the tf2 folder.
Then one have to open the console and type a command invloving this: exec mapconfig After exec the server owner will have the power to do a few commands via the number key including speeding up the game pace etc Will this cause a VAC ban? Sorry if it's a obvious question but I'm really new to this |

No. You won't get VAC banned for configuration files. No need to worry.

Was it TR_Walkway?
Anyways, No. you can not be banned for those. This would mean programs such as HLDJ would also cause bans. |

Wait, normally you shouldn't have to do that, could you link the map and copy the readme please?
Most maps you copy to your maps folder, then start up TF2, and you can just host a local game on it. Unless you're running a dedicated server, in which case I don't know what I'm talking about. |

Installation Readme: - Extract the files to the Steam\steamapps\steamname\Team Fortress 2\ (dont forget the map!) - Load TF2 and open the console and type this: exec mapconfig - Hit the numpad 4 key once after the map has loaded and you have joined your team! - Hit the numpad 5 key to toggle speed in game - To see list of key commands again in game type: mapinfo in console! |
