PbLauncher.exe / BustersLauncher issue - game won't run

figured this was worth posting, the Mods and GMs do their job and communicate well so i cant complain but its definetely not good news and almost shocking.

i assumed this from seeing how little they did maintenance check ups but i had no idea we would have to wait a month just to get something fixed.

For what it's worth, I had the same problem as you and when I turned off my anti-virus, it worked just fine. So it didn't fix the problem. So what? At least he bothered to try and help. I'd rather have twenty people like him saying the wrong thing than five people like you jumping down each others' throats constantly.

This game won't run outside of NorthAmerica - Europe Regions.
That means, No Asia, No LatinAmerica, No India, No Africa, No Australia, etc.

What makes me more angry is that I had to look everywhere, and only in the facebook page of this game, there was the smallest official response.

Why do they let us download their game if they are not going to allow us to play? Why they don't give us any warnings? Is Steam aware that we can't play this game?

I'm on this problem now, are ya'll logged in as a secondary account to prevent .exes from running and windows security premissions, etc, and i'm thinkin of toggling the .exe file attributes in the R:\Steam\steamapps\common\brawl busters on my system (i used r: since they shuffle sometimes on hard swap or raid futzing virtual etc)

and stopped caring. I wish i didn't play almost all the levels in zeno clash, just tower -3, +3, and +5....and +3 seems broken ? I appear to win but get no win....

anyways could be broken or whatnot, maybe a reinstall...good thing it's small, although with steam, you can sometimes copy the files (including with .zip or over network, i got the 1gbit that's faster than the hdd lol), then uninstall reinstall the game, then copy the files over, then hit 'verify' or something

remember the old days when they all stayed in their folder and included the source too ? lol they still do, then someone invented c...

no reason to hop around like that mostly, and if you use void main instead of winmain, it boots right ? also + static link massively

The issue is not "PbLauncher.exe", but "Launcher.exe", which triggers "PbLauncher.exe" to run.

I have downloaded the same version on Steam and from the original site. I noticed that apart from a few extra installation files (e.g. redist files), I noticed a "Launcher.exe" file, only found in the Steam version. I can run the game from the original site perfectly, and is just a matter of having "Launcher.exe" not trigger an endless loop of UAC prompts.

This is what I've noticed and it is possible that it may not be the problem for you.

just add the launcher or just the games directory to an exception to your antivirus or firewall.

Currently I've been getting massive lag with this game, and its only this game. so I wouldn't be surprised if at some point punkbuster was the cause of all our problems.
