Gothic 3 audio stuttering/lag

So since I almost never get bugs in games that are supposedly bug filled, I went ahead and bought the first three Gothic games for $5(thanks Gabe ) a couple days ago. I don't really have any problems besides the sound, which stutters like mad and repeats the same part. It doesn't always do it when soft peaceful exploration music plays, but when the title screen theme or battle music plays it does it a lot. It also does it for voices a lot as well.

Does anyone know how to fix it? Is it some problem with my sound card or whatever? It's really annoying but the soundtrack is pretty amazing when it actually works. Please help

Hi. Could you please post your system spec and specify which version of G3 you have?

I'm afraid I don't know how to check either, don't know what specs you need anyway. My laptop is very outdated though and doesn't really make sense because it can run Skyrim with no lag or frame rate but lags to death on something like L4D.
